Default Silver thingy??

Anyone know what this is and should it get hot, I mean like hot that you cant hold it.
Its located under the dash, drivers side.

I don't know what it is for but the one on my 96 gets hot also.

I had one on my 95 and it got hot when the door was open and the interior lights were on. Just unplug it and see what doesnt work. haha

X2 looks like the turn signal flasher to me. Although mine is on the fuse block.

Yea it looks normal. Looks like a flasher or relay. Try turning things off and on and see if it clicks.

mine gets hot too.... but i think it is the relay for the interior lights because like posted above it ONLY gets hot when they are on

It is the delay for the interior lights. It actually looks like a turn signal flasher internally. Has a bi-metal strip in it that is heated up to hold the lights on for several seconds after the doors are closed.
