Oil pressure is shot past 80, i was told it was a bad sensor and i tested to see if it was and aprently thats gone so i have a bad oil pressure sending unit right now and i havent fixed it yet, its only really noticable when its warm and no i havent but ive asked a tech thats been in the buisness for all his life and he told me it could be a rod knock, but that was 6 months ago, its gotton much louder since then

get a 350 chevy and running gear out of a wrecked truck. its cheaper and more powerful than a stroker. plus you wont have to worry if other parts are going to break because its all stock.the mileage would be almost the same and you can buy adapters for the axles. its well worth it from what i hear. try this link< http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=782xiI2yuNQ

that's true. if you wanted to spend a lot of time on it i believe it would be cheaper but that would involve a junkyard motor and a lot of custom fabricating.

Well, from what I've read in your post and what I know about spun bearings, I really don't think that's what you've got. Before you agonize about putting in a new motor - unless you really want to put a new motor in - you should take it to a reputable jeep mechanic and have them diagnose. Could be piston slap, could be detonation. If it's detonation, it's relatively easy to fix.

The video sounds more like spark knock, or scattered combustion. I think you could benefit from plugs wires cap and rotor plus a high energy ignition coil like I did last summer. I have a quiet engine now, you can hear the injectors firing now. Worth a shot after you remove the valve cover and check for rocker slop.
Afer listening to your video I'm 99.9999% sure you don't have a spun bearing. I didn't see where you posted how many miles are on the Jeep. I could have missed the post. I would probably start with the good tune up and check your plugs real close and make sure they look right. They should be a nice golden brown. Heck, you could even just pull the plugs take a look at them and post back up what they look like. A couple pics of the plugs would help. The color and condition of the spark plugs can tell you a lot about what's going on with the motor.

Seriously doubt it's rod knock or spun bearing. You could even try just running some higher octane fuel and see what that does.

I'm 99.999% thats not a spun bearing or rod knock. If it was rod knock it would be a lot louder than that. In fact, your engine sounds just like mine. I'm pretty sure that's just valvetrain noised maybe mixed in with some random sounds from the accessories and really isn't anything to worry about. If you are worried, I'd take it to another mechanic who is reputable in the area and have him take a listen without mentioning you've had it looked at before or any type of previous idea what it is. Make sure you go to someone good who has a good reputation for being trustworthy.
I'll take a video of mine when I get home for you to listen to as a comparison.

Not all mechanic's are out to screw people over. Don't let your past experiences taint your view of the world. As a general rule though, avoid dealerships. When someone says "take it to a reputable Jeep mechanic" that doesn't mean go to a dealership. Go to a 4x4 shop in your area and ask them if they could recommend someone. That's what I did and I found a great guy to go to when it's something I can't do myself.

Here's my DD '93, 194k miles running 10w40 high mileage. Other than the induction noise from yours, my 'ticking' is louder. You can actually hear the one collapsed lifter on #3 when I stick the camera down next to it. This engine gets 16mpg city and 21 highway, uses a bit of oil, and has good compression numbers across the board.
In fact, yours sounds almost like my '94, which has 120k miles (ignore the half disassembled engine bay). No idea of oil use, gas mileage, or compression numbers on this one. She feels healthy, but will be getting rebuild this year before plugging into the '93 with the 4wd driveline.
