Default should I Buy this?

I know, this question gets asked a whole bunch. But combined knowledge is better than impulse buy. I have the opportunity to buy this for $650 ....it has 150k starts right up no smoke some minor oil leaks, transmission seems strong. does drive but has lower control arm bent, pics represent damage fairly well. 4x4, cold ac, power everything, cruise, 8.25, dana 30 with 3.55s believe. Interior in good shape.

My idea would be to part it out. What do you guys think?

Offer them $450. Thats about what the people I got my parts Jeep from were asking, and they accepted less due to it's rust.

i think it's worth that much. you can chop the roof where it's dented. and needless to say a liftkit will cost less than trying to fix up the suspension.

Yes very sad. You could always buy it and try to find another that needs a motor or tranny for a good deal.

Okay, I just got her home. The plan for it is: Leave it running and driving for as long as possible. Part the interior out first anything and everything that is not essential to driving. The part body i.e. doors, fender, hood...etc. The see how much I still have in her and then decide from there whether to wheel it or finish parting. If anyone needs interior pieces check out the for sale section there will be some stuff posted soon.

Hmmm. I'd make it a Scrambler.

I don't think it will ever be a daily driver again. C/b nice parts car.
