Default shocks for JY lift

So I'm putting together a lift with t bird coils and bastard packs made with another set of xj leafs, but now i'm kinda stuck on shocks. I read you can use the front shocks from a TJ or JK wrangler but what about the rear shocks from the same rigs?

check out "gojeep.com" for shock mount modifications, I run the shock blocks on mine, note the barpin bolt centers are different front vs back, I use various tube builds to adjust the shock block height to suit. Check the site it is very informative for XJ mods.

Stock JK shocks all around on my rig, with a 4" lift. Work great!

thank you.

RIck, that website has nothing on it. I don't expect anyone to do all the research for me, I was looking for someone who has actually done it.

edit: gpxj, did you just bolt them on or did you press in the bar pins?

JK shocks are good for 3-4" lift, and yes you have to press out the metal sleeves in the JK and press in the XJ bar pins. Its not too hard

Or you can run BPE's
Also, for the rear I believe you can run 'Manche shocks
Depending on HOW much lift you have, You can get shocks for a ZJ V8 Upcountry. Good for about 2-3" Lift. I got the Gabriel Ultras from the local parts store for 30$/ea

part store shocks are junk, I havent had a set last me more than a summer of wheeling. You get what you pay for and JK can be expensive if bought new or cheaply if bought slightly used from who lifted theirs. I bought mine for the cost of a case of beer
