Default Shock replacement

I'm looking at doing my shocks on all corners soon and was just wondering if theres any suggestions as to what a good stock replacement would be. Looking for inexpensive pricing, not trying to break the bank for stock suspension. Any information would be appreciated.

You get what you pay for just remember that. For stock suspension just go to napa.

I say that all the time at work, I'm not talking like $20 shocks but I don't wanna be spending $160 each for stock.

rancho 5000 great choice! you could always do monroe sensatracs @ around $45 a piece (lifetime warranty). Right now if you buy online at advanceautoparts.com you can pick them up in the store and get 15-20% off and a $50.00 coupon for anything else

I just went all the way around with Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks. They reviewed well and were about $180.00 for the four. I'm not seriously off-road much, and from all reading these will do well for that occasional trip. They are firm on the road.

Stuff you guys probably already know...(...newer member and new to Jeeps...)

I learned some things about replacing the shocks. Metric fasteners! Really...wow. And, the rear fasteners go into blind tack welded nuts. I learned after the fact that my getting three of the four fasteners out intact was pretty good, according to a local Cherokee guy. The fourth one I drilled out after it broke off. There's a grade 8 SAE fastener in that one.

Sheesh

Yeah I cheaped out and got four yellow Monroe $25 dollar shocks. Kinda regretting it though. Rides alright but there's a definite thump when I go over railroad tracks and the like.

Idk I must be lucky my rear shock bolts just came right out.

Not worried about the hardware, I keep lots of pb blastr on hand lol since the rancho shocks are only a few $$ more than the monroe I'm gonna go that route and after a little price checking I think its time to do some front end bushings before winter. And I know this is off topic but has anyone replaced parking brake cables on their rig? If so any tips before I tackle those? Sorry to piggyback on my own thread

Default Squishy ride

My 2000 Cherokee Sport rides like a small boat in choppy waters, even on the highway. Shocks are only about 2 yrs old and I prob bought bargain basement ones. I'd like a much stiffer ride. The guy at my shop he wouldn't even inspect it with the current "porpoiseing" as he called it. I hate it. Any recommendations for a good stiffer shock? Thanks

I bought Gabriels at Rock Auto 2 years ago.
They were 9 bucks a piece and they seem pretty good.

I got a brand new set of Gabriels I'd sell for shipping.
Unfortunately the shipping from kali to CT will be more than buying a set.
