Neil young said it best..... Rust never sleeps.

Do the RIGHT thing and give her your truck and YOU drive the Cherokee. It will make you feel good since the baggie didn't work out.

the truck is WAY too much for her... even my wife is afraid of the truck... of course, it's her own dang fault (the wife's)... was pulling a 24hour straight haul (1320 miles) and nearing the end... wife and both kids, + three dogs.... they slept most the way... she asks if I want her to drive, and I decided since we were down to state and country roads, there was no harm... it was -10* and with ten or so inches of snow by the way... I informed her DO NOT USE THE CRUISE CONTROL... she did anyway, and no sooner than i closed my eyes.... let's just say I was REALLY awake in just under a microsecond... she avoids it like it's a thermonuclear weapon, now. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's fine by me...

so... looks like I can get front fenders for $115 each... the hood is salvageable.. the lower rockers are easy enough to do... sand what bubbles there are on the roof down and patch the cuts and flatten 'em out.. this concept of "cut and bend"? I'm thinking this rig is a prime candidate.. all the nasty looking steering and suspension parts and pieces up front? Sounds like a lift, to me...

and that's how you do it.... my toy will be ready for me when the gods award me reprieve from teenagers...

"when the gods award me reprieve from teenagers..."

You are now in the minor punishment phase. There are other phases to come. Trust me I know.
