I think you will find that the rust is going to win the battle. If you want to preserve the structural integrity of the body/unibody, you need to go after it surgically to cut and replace the rusted areas. If you just want to beat back the visible rust and not get into heavy body work, you can choose one of your listed methods that will yield the results you can accept.

so... looks like I can get front fenders for $115 each... the hood is salvageable.. the lower rockers are easy enough to do... sand what bubbles there are on the roof down and patch the cuts and flatten 'em out.. this concept of "cut and bend"? I'm thinking this rig is a prime candidate.. all the nasty looking steering and suspension parts and pieces up front? Sounds like a lift, to me...
and that's how you do it.... my toy will be ready for me when the gods award me reprieve from teenagers...
