The a/c (bearings?) started to grind somethin loud today.
The lines on back of a/c unit are also vibrating.
I noticed, for whatever reason, the wire coming out of distributer caps center, had a vibration to it too.
While none of the spark plug wires coming off the cap had a vibration, there was a grinding noise that seemed to be coming from distributer itself.

So, the a/c was for sure vibrating good and seemed to be making grinding noise. At the same time the cap was making its vibration/grinding noise. Any thoughts??

 

Might want to disconnect the power to the A/C clutch before the whole thing siezes up solid.

 

Definitely check the out soon. My compressor pulley bearing looked up, so even though I turned the A/C off I was still stranded with a broken belt 50 miles from home.

 

Forgot to mention the a/c has been disco for a while now.. So I'm thinking cause I don't use/want it, can I just get a free spinning pulley and rip out all a/c components??

 

You May be able to remove it and get the non/ac belt.

 

The a/c pump makes for the best on board air tho.......

 

At this point, I'd be happy just getting this taken care of cheaply. Seems like just the basic replacement pulley would be the way?

 

My A/C makes a Grinding noise too. No Cold A/C blowing. But thank Goodness, it blows Heat through the defroster. Just do not know how to go about fixing. Should I pull the entire a/c compressor and replace. Or check every level of the a/c system before replacing...
