I bought my cherokee and it has had an O2 CEL, P0138 ever since I washed the engine bay, I crawled under it and noticed the O2 on the Cat outlet is not even wired. Not sure about this but the PO has a newer looking Bosch Universal 4 Wire in it. It is not connected so I have no idea what wires go where on the factory wires (no plug just cut wires). Checked the fuses and all is good there. Any help is awesome

Is the mating connector from the harness still there or is it missing as well?

 

sorry yeah that would have helped huh? It is a 1996 4.0 and the harness connectr is cut as well. Neither wires have harnesses.

 

First off, I'd suggest heading out to your favorite JY and obtaining the correct connector to repair the harness and then buy a new O2 Sensor.

But if you want to splice the wires together...check your PM Inbox in a couple mintues.
