Hey everyone! So basically all I have been doing today was researching about putting seafoam in my Jeep. I'm convinced it will do good for my jeep and it actually looks kinda fun haha. My idle has always been a bit wobbly and very rarely it almost stalls, but it never has....yet. Plus, the car is getting up there in miles and I'm sure adding seafoam couldn't do any harm. BUT my question is...I don't want to add it to the oil because that has been changed recently and I don't want to mess with it. So can I just put like half a can in my TB, and the other half in the gas tank? Any help appreciated!
There are many threads and vids on you tube for the use of seafoam. your best bet is to have it sucked up thru the vacuum system. by taking the vacuum hose off the brake booster and sucking up about half the can. then dump the rest in the tank as long as you have at least half a tank full. Dont put it in the oil!!!

Yea I know I watched tons of videos haha. Just wanted to get a second opinion! And I'm veeeeery unaware when it comes to parts so, not to sound dumb, but I don't know where the vacuum hose is haha. I DO know exactly where the TB is though and I feel like I could easily put seafoam in there with no problems. Does it honestly matter/make a big difference where the seafoam goes?

I would not dump it down the Throttle body, follow the second place that they talk about putting it in on the newer cars, and just pay attention to the place he pulls the hose from. hope that helps!

I put it in the crankcase, vacuum hose from the brake master cylinder and gas tank- i think a third each or use 1/2 in the first two and a whole can in the gas tank. It made the engine run much smoother and quieter. I did change my oil about 30 miles after so I would hold off until its closer to when you need to change the oil for the crank case.

Some people believe it may possibly cause oil leaks in places where a compromised gasket is being plugged by sludge that the product removes. In the same way some people think changing transmission fluid can cause more problems than leaving it alone.
I use seafoam in my gas every oil change but my buddy put some in his oil and he fried his engine I think that he said it thinned his oil to much. He is a certified mechanic
