There isn't really a set amount... Some people would add a little to the oil, then start it up and let it idle for 10 or so minutes and then change the oil. Read around, there are a ton of threads on this. Read people's experiences and suggestions and then decide what you want to do. I'd say drive around for a bit though.

This is directly from the Seafoam website.
"When adding Sea Foam to dirty oil before an oil change, for best results use 1 ½ ounces per quart of oil at least 100 miles before oil is changed."
However, I'm not a big fan of using anything in the crankcase UNLESS there is a confirmed sludge problem. If oil changes have been kept up with, it just isn't necessary.

She walks, she talks, she slithers on her belly - and she wears sexy outfits!
Send me $50, I'll send you the deed to the Golden Gate bridge!
Of course light oil and a touch of Naptha will smoke, causing you to think it's cleaning something.
Try soaking a valve, bolt, or other dirty part in it - nothing!
Try mixing a little gas in it - see how it doesn't mix.
Try burning it = it won't light.
Try using it as a lubricant - fails.
Not in my engine!
