Just bought a 95 2 door cherokee and have got a project ahead of me.
Its got some pretty big holes in the floor so I was going to buy a replacement pan from Rockauto and weld it in.
Any suggestions on a welder?? I found a Lincoln Weld Pak 155 I'm thinking about. I am new to welding...
I'll put up some pictures to show you guys as soon as I can figure it out.

Do you want a welder for everything or one just for body work? For body work I like a 110v welder and for anything over about 3/16 I use my 220. You definitely get what you pay for. Both mine are Miller millermatics, they are a lil pricy but worth it. Don't get a harbor freight or craftsman one, you will be sorry.
If you are new to welding I would suggest a 110v welder, less of an investment and easy to learn on. Im certified to weld damn near every type of metal and its even tricky for me to do body work with my 220.

My buddy has 4 miller 3 are millermatics the 3 are 220 plug in ones a 150 the second ones a 180 and the third one is a 211 all gas then he has a portable 130 110 with gas the 150 i did my floors with until i bought my 110 lincoln but it was tricky with a 220 even on the lowest setting but 1/4 and 3/16 we made his bumpers with the 211 on 3 and man that thing welded beautifully but my 125 lincoln did 1/4 fine to and floors good to

Mine were MUCH worse. Mine literally didn't exist. Check my build.
I went with the $100 Harbor Freight welder. Its been working amazingly for the price.
Can I weld 1/4" plate easily?
No.
But I can do any sheetmetal, exhaust, minor work with ease. And I can plug into any 110 household outlet.

Once you have your new floors in i would strongly suggest painting them with Chassis Saver. Its a little expensive but its great stuff and your floors will never rot out again. There is a guy on here that has a build thread where he painted the entire jeep in it.
