Rust under the car question
To what point should I worry about rust under the car? The jeep has never really been in salt and was stored for a couple of years in a garage and not used.
I'm wondering simply because when I go under it, most of the stuff I will touch, on the surface, will go off. I'm planning on getting it rust-proofed for the next winter but I've been wondering if I should worry about this or not.
Thanks!

That doesn't look too bad from what I see. That all looks like surface rust really. Once it starts to eat away at the components there's a problem. Rub some off and see how much it ate into the metal. If its pretty bad, fix it. If its just on the surface, it's fine. Just keep an eye out if it gets worse. Over time it will, but driving it more will take some rust off the surface. Mine was a little rusty in areas since it sat for a while, but as I drove it some went away. Mine is also undercoated in covered in oil, so that's a plus.

Alright thanks for the input, really appreciated!
I mainly attribute it to the last owner that stored it and never used it for some years, but I'll keep looking in case it's worse than it looks.
Right now I can't drive it as often as I would like, but soon will!

You're welcome Drive it as much as you can, you won't regret it. It's a jeep, you just can't hate them. No matter what hell they put you through. haha.
