the one in the thermo housing does aux fan th one i pointed out does gauge 91 to 95 read post 9...https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/coo...-sensor-10251/

Replace both senders and check any ground you can find, I've had some real freaky symptoms due to a bad ground.

I believe '96 also has the gauge sending unit in the back of the head......'97 up don't, just the coolant temp sensor in the stat cover.

Hillbillys DO rule. Its true. Right now im a hillbilly w no hill as well. Thats gonna change this year.

Anywho, anyone got a chrysler part # for the temp sending unit on top/back of block? Something napa can cross reference?

Had the same problem in my '01. Replaced the temp sensor and put a 195* t-stat in. Also cleaned all the "mud" out of the rad and heater core from the previous owner. Now my temps are normal and my heater gets damn hot!

Its getting warm i believe. Its just not communicating to me the warmth it is attaining. Will replace sending unit as soon as i can.
