If anyone is interested. After getting more info,I think IRON ROCK will be my preference. Looks like good product for the money, & easy install, plus it's over the knuckle.

It was a posting on NAXJA showing the video and describing the TRE failure, which was the same failure described in a host of other posts.

Here is more of the story... Rusty's TRE failure

If you actually research product before buying, you'll never buy anything from Rusty's, ever.

The IRO unit is very nice and they have great service and support. I have a JCR setup on my YJ and an IRO on my XJ. Both are highly recommended.

Thanks for the input. First I need to replace/upgrade my box & figure out a frame reinforcement to use, then I'll save pennies for IRO steering. I just aligned my toe (with slightly bent tie rod) & straightened my steering wheel. Should keep me rolling for a while.

Ok the rod end broke, that is from them using sketchy quality rod ends, which mine are. The actual tubing seems to be just fine. I will be replacing all the rod ends after seeing this though and calling rustys to ask about the quality product they buy, and almost pass it off as it is MOOG, because their website gives MOOG part numbers.

Use this and a YJ steering box. Phenomenal improvement.

JCR has a similar product
