rpm's drop when coming to a stop

Hey guys...the past few weeks when I come to a stop, my xj starts to stutter like is is going to stall, then goes back to normal once I'm stopped. It hasn't stalled yet, but it's getting worse and I want to fix it before it gets there. The TPS, fuel pump, filter are all new. What do you think?

96 4.0 auto...

IAC could be giving trouble. Or a vacuum leak.

X2 on the IAC or vaccum leak! Last time you did a complete tune up (plugs, wires, cap and rotor)?? Good Luck!!

A good throttle body and IAC cleaning is in order along with verifying tune-up parts.

Look for vac leaks and clean the IAC. If cleaning it helps a little then try adjusting it. There is a bullet shaped thing when you remove the IAC. Just turn it one way and if that don't work then try the other way. good luck.
