My xj seems to almost "buck" at idle,,well not really idle, but when I'm stopped in Drive and I start to let my foot off of the brake. I does it in drive and reverse but only when in gear. Also I dont know if this relates or not but it bogs down a lot when going up the slightest of up hills. Any help wound be fantastic.

*Oh also on a side no, if I floor it, I get s CEL for a miss on 1&2.

Thanks, -Zack

U joints and a tune up sound like good places to start. How bad are your leaf springs? getting pretty bad axle wrap maybe?

No its not like that..it almost like rocks back and forth? Like its humping something?

What do I need for a tune up because I got most of the stuff done I think..

Oh also, I've gotten worse mpg lately. (Also this shaking problem isn't new..so idk if they are related..)

Cyl. 1 & 2? What year are you. My iPod doesn't tell me, so you have to.. um, has it said anything about the o2's? They can cause a hesitation issue. Have you done a pressure test at the rail? Any other codes stored in there?

Vacuum leak test:

Go for a drive.
Turn the air on to the feet setting.
Put hand on dash over the defrost vents.
Accelerate!! GO!! Well, at least enough to downshift a gear..
NOW: did the airflow jump to the defrost vents?
If yes- vac leak
If no- try it again using a different airflow setting and see if the airflow jumps to defrost.

I have a 98 I6 4x4 ..nothing about the o2's I don't know how old they are tho, and she's got almost 195k on her.

No, no pressure test and no other codes.

EDIT: and it misses normally only when I reallyyy get on the gas.
But its weird cause if it didn't have a CEL come on, I wouldn't even know

Actually it does indicate a vacuum leak if your vents switch to defrost when you put the vehicle under a load with the dial set to a position other than defrost. If you have a bad enough vacuum leak it will switch on its own.

better off to grab some starter fluid, and spray around the intake and vacuum lines with it running. if the rpms pick up whenever you spray a certain spot, you have a vacuum leak there.

I might try that, but I did your other thing the vents...and it didn't change or anything didn't even slow up when I mashed it.
