Default round plastic thing inside bumper

sorry if its a stupid question, but what the hell is that round black plastic thing thats in the right side of the front bumper? do i need it or can i relocate it somewere else?

vaccum ball... basically hold vaccum for your HVAC controls as well as cruise control settings.. It can be relocted but you must also reroute your vaccum lines.. so if you use either of both then yes you need it.

oh ok i thought it had something to do with the airbags, like if u hit something that ball would open up setting off the bags

yea i kknow what you were thinking and really i dont even know where those sensors are on the jeep.. Ive never seen them.. I dont think ive seen an airbag deploy in these tanks.

i rerouted mine into the engine bay the lines are long enough now it sits next to my coolant tank it was pretty easy to do

i also moved mine up to the firewall.. it can be disconnected, its only when the cars running that you would need it there, its the only way your HVAC has settings.

you can unhook it to move it nothing will get messed up

if you want your heater for anything else then defrost yes you need it

it may also affect your braking right after a hard throttle
