Default Round 2...

Well here i go round 2. I know this makes me sound stupid but im 18 and this was my first transmission i ever put in by myself. But i posted a few months ago on here when my transmission was going out. Well i went ahead and put a different one in and went on with my life for a few months. Now here we are at round 2. The same noise that i had before my last transmission went out is coming back but it sounds different. I know its coming from the Flywheel or the TC. The noise happens at different times and it louder or quiet at different times. Just depends, but im trying to figure out if its my Flywheel or my TC making this noise. I was wondering if its okay to take my Flywheel bolts out and start the Jeep so i can see it TC is my problem or the Flywheel. I don't think it matters anyways because the tranny has to be dropped regardless. I know its not a knock because i can park on a hill and put it in gear then put it in N and it will stock until i go in gear again. So its something making noise when its in gear or in P when its go pressure on everything. Heres the part that makes me sound stupid. When i put the tranny back in i had 1 bolt left over and i was in such a rush i wasn't thinking right and was like oh well it wont be a big deal. Well i found out today there was a gap between the bell housing and the motor and it turned out the bolt fit right in the hole and got rid of the gap and made the noise no where near as loud. Then i bought a new Tranny Mount and it kind of helped. Only thing i noticed is it don't jerk in gear anymore and shifts smoother. But anyways about the bolts, is it alright to do this just to see if that's my problem? Any suggestions would be awesome because i plan to do this tomorrow after work. Thanks guys once again!

Assuming you have an auto, seems like the flex plate is the culprit quite often.

Edit: its the bolts. You need them all to be tight or it will make that noise from the flywheel contacting the tranny or the flexplate

Oh yeah i forgot to include, a week ago this same noise was happening and i got under there took the flex plate off and the flywheel bolts were able to loosen with my hand. So i tightened them up. Well the noise comes back the other day and im like damn they got loose again? So i look at them again and they were still tight, i busted my knuckle trying to tighten them. Thats when i started worrying that its something beyond the flywheel bolts now...
