So my jeep has started having a really rough idle and the tach is for some reason like 500 off. Anyway so I have no idea exactly exactly what is wrong. There is no CEL on and I did check the bulb lol. but things I have done since it has started is replaced:

Spark plugs/wires ( twice because for some reason a couple months after change the cylinder 6 cable was shocking me when touching the outside?)
distributor cap n rotor
mobil 1 really nice oil change with bosch filter
fuel filter
and unrelated also the waterpump and blower motor

I'm thinking possibly the fuel pump? Will post video as soon as I get it back ( lent it to my cousin so that she could get to work. REGRET SO MUCH REGRET)
I just am running out of ideas... anyone have any?
Pretty much completely stumped since no CEL.

 

I had a rough idle and cleaned the throttle body and IAC valve and it cured it. Easy to do. There are how to's on youtube.

 

Oh i forgot to mention i did clean the throttle body. Not completely but ALOT where is the IAC valve?

 

Connected right next to your throttle body. Take them both off and clean very throughly with a tooth brush and throttle body cleaner.

so yours' looked like that and did it fix you're idle?

 

Yes it did after a good cleaning.. Not saying that is definitely your problem but it's a good cheap place to start.
