Rough idle?
Alright so I noticed a rough idle at stop lights, the RPMs that I've noticed don't jump up or down at all, I just replaced the plugs and wires and made sure to do one plug at a time so I know for sure I didn't mix up any wires, while replacing one of the plugs the wrench knocked the heater core valve and broke a hose connection, so easy fix I replaced the heater core valve. Before replacing the plugs and wires it seemed to run fine, now I'm getting the rough idle after doing the plugs and wires? Any help would be appreciated.

Cap and rotor have been replaced, still have a rough idle. I took it in to a shop for a diagnostic and was told it was the distributor, but they didn't really seem to sure

I don't remember what brand the cap and rotor were but positive it wasn't the store brand, the wires however were the store brand "omni start" and plugs were champion

I'm currently gone right now, in the air force, when I get back I will try and clean up the IAC valve and see how much that helps, tune up shop told me I was having random misfires though, they checked all the plugs and wires and said all those we're fine, no wire mix ups or anything like that.

Alright guys I'm lost now, I cleaned the IAC valve pretty well, it was pretty dirty, put it all back together, didnt want to start the first time, started the second time and after letting off the gas it almost kills itself?! So seems like after cleaning the IAC it got worse?

IAC's could be shot.
Should get an ohm's reading of 40-80 when meter is connected to the outer two contacts and the same when connected to the inner two on the sensor.
Also pull the CTS and polish the probe.
