What was your process for cleaning the TB and AIC?

 

Cleaned it with CRC Throttle body cleaner. For the TB I sprayed and used a plastic bristle brush or tooth brush. Had to do this many times to get everything off. I would hold the throttle open with my hand to get the brush down in there. Same process for the IAC but used a paper towel to wipe it down as well.

 

I pretty much did what this guy did but the actual cleaning took a little while to get it where it was in my pictures. Used close to a full can.

Ya I'll be doing this this weekend.

My idle has been smoothed out considerably after running some restore and a fresh oil change. o2 sensor didn't seem to help as much as I thought it would, but it always helps regardless.

Cleaning like this has been way overdue for me.

 

Can you please post a pic of the IAC location?

 

As always Google is your friend. Found a crappy scribbled pic, but is has all the appendices of the throttle body, so to speak.
IAC is localed in the back at the right side of the throttle body in this pic.
