I was wondering if its bad to put a cargo rack on the back part of the roof. I need to put a ski rack on the front part, so as far back as it will go before the rear hatch hits it. Will it still be ok going up really steep hills, or have a huge tendincy to tip back?

i had my spare up there and NEVER had any issue with turns, its stock size but i wouldnt put more than a 31 up there just cause you are gonna have to get it down sometime and its gonna suck, if you have a stock size or a lil bigger go ahead you should be fine, i just used them black rubber bungee cords to secure mine and it didnt ever go anywhere. if you are on a camping trip and have a couple coolers up there that are full and your spare, i think thats when you will really have to watch out but other than that you should be great, btw i dont have a rear sway bar so i have more body roll than those that do have them in

31s were hard to throw up on the roof rack, with my 31s and 7 inch lift it was a workout

might it be worth it to make you up a swing away tire carrier and a bumper or a fold down tire carrier that fits in your hitch?
