roof rack help

Default roof rack help

i made my own roof rack and trying to find a way to bolt it to the roof of my jeep, i do not have anything on my top, theres no way to connect anything, there was never a stock roof rack on it, so what options do i have to connect my homemade roof rack to my jeep, thanks pics would help to thanks

dude use 1 inch u bolts from Menards or home depot thats what i did. they looped right around my factory rack

I used Ubolts from Home Depot and attached straight to factory roof rack...on the cross bar that is....hold up just fine and havent had any problems .

six inch masonry screws directly through your roof and attatch a 2x4 on the iside to take up the excess screw followed with lots of bathroom caulk. well at least that was what my buddy told his brother-in-law when he asked him to help put a lightbar on the roof of his ford escape.

I think I'd rather use the gutter mounts myself, (if I didn't have a factory rack to attach to). They can be removed later without leaving any unsightly damage that needs fixing. JMO

i want to use the gutter mounts but i have no clue where to purchase, i read that hole thread and it doesnt say where to purchase them..... thanks and i built my roof rack out of emt conduit....thanks to x91j
