Default Rocker Panel Opinion

I tried searching for a forum but couldn't find the right answer.

My rocker panels are still in pretty good shape, some spots are kind of soft but the majority is good. But my problem is I dented one side going down this rocky trail (I know, I need rock guards).

So I was thinking of doing a bondo job and purchasing a set of rocker guards.

I was just wondering if theres anything wrong with that, or should I take a different approach?

I think trail running would cause the Bondo to pop out.

Figure body flex and impacted not a good idea in my eyes..

boat side it. cut out weld in plate at a 45* angle or so no need for rock guards and fixes your rockers
