Default Replacing Serpentine Belt

replacing serpentine belt on 1994 cherokee 2.5L. The two adjuster screws underneath the power steering pump have a particular "nut" they screw into. I was tightening down and the "nut" broke in two. Need to know where I could possibly find replacement part.

i got a a trick just put it back on and use a pry bar on the nut or tensioner pully to apply tension to the belt then tighten the nut it acts the same way u dont need the other bolt to adjust it just use a bar and pry the pully in the proper direction using the nut and or pully and tighten the nut once u have the proper tensions.

**** happens do what u got to do!

Is this a common problem? I am about to change my belt. What can I do to prevent this? PB Blaster?

Because we are dealing with a serpentine belt I would replace it, I would use the pry bar and tighten it until I found a new Jacknut. If you look closely at your bracket you should see a scale once your get your belt set up you can mark the scale, then any time you have to remove the belt and then re-install it all you have to do is move the Jacknut down the scale until it lines up, then the tensioner will give it the correct tightness.

Also if you keep the old belt and you are out on the trail or down the Highway and you bust the belt all you have to do is install the spare belt and move the Jacknut to the mark on the bracket scale and your done.
