I'm replacing the master cylinder on my 88 Xj and decided to make a little write up a long with some pics so you guys can tell me if I'm doing something wrong. I began by removing the two brake lines from the side of the mc. Then proceeded to remove the mc from the booster. I pulled the mc out and here is what I have...correct so far?

You're correct so far. Good Job!
Before you install the new master cylinder I would suggest bench bleeding it first. It will save you a lot time bleeding the brakes lines. If you don't know how to bench bleed it just do a Google Search on bench bleeding a master cylinder.
