Replacing Computer Shaft?

WHo told you that you needed a computer shaft? If a shop did go back to the shop and ask them to show you what the computer shaft is...I have a sneaky feeling they are talking about the distributor as unless I am completely stupid you do not have nor does any car have a computer shaft...

Yeah taking all day to do at 65 per hr sounds like a rip to me..I mean you would pay him upward of $400+ in labor plusw hat ever your other post said part cost was. I have looked through the entire 93 xj parts catalog from the factory and can find nothing about a computer shaft... Mechanic is taking you to the cleaners...I hope you didn't pay him to diagnose it..if so I'd demand my money back..
