Default Replacement Leafs?

Decided I'm going to leave my other jeep totally stock and just make it nice and reliable.

Rear leafs are sagged and rusty. Shackles are literally rusted through and not even attached to the leafs.

I want stock ride height leafs without breaking the bank. Any suggestions?

Nice!

Crown seems to be the standard OE replacement. I might suggest the medium-duty ones, they'll carry a little more weight and are not as stiff as HD.

Or Dorman from Rock auto or Advance auto. About 100 each.

I hope you don't mind me asking in your thread, but I was wondering how long do new leafs last before they start sagging again?

Brand new leaf springs? Depends on how they're driven and how they're loaded. Could be a decade quite easily.

Ah ok. Thanks! That seems quite reasonable to me. I don't carry heavy loads or full loads of passengers too often, just regular DD duty.

I was turned off by the fact that if I bought new springs, they'll eventually sag an I'll have to buy more again. I was curious about composite springs as they supposedly don't sag. But if metal ones last that long, I think they'll be just fine.

Everything will need to be replaced again if you get enough life out of that damn engine that just won't quit =]

Yup... replace with OE parts and expect OE lifetime out of them.
