Default replacement E-fans worth a hoot?

I need to replace the stock E-fan on my 2001 XJ.
The aftermarket replacements are $40-60,,, Mopar is $360
I have read on this forum people having failure issues with replacement fans.

The issue I have with spending 360 on a mopar unit is that many OEM parts get shifted to reboxed china parts when a vehicle has beenout of production for 20 years.
Has anyone had luck with aftermarket?? or have direct info on the Mopar unit?

I've used aftermarket with no issues.

I bought some Ebay special for like $42 shipped.
Been fine so far.
The reason I choice that particular one is cause in the picture looked a lot like a factory one.
But it wasn't. At first I was pissed. But then I looked at it and was actually happy in how it was different.
For starters the connector was longer which I thought was good.
And instead of having those tabs at the bottom with the metal clip the plastic was wedged.
That metal clip is the whole reason I decided to replace the fan in the first place.
Didn't realize how it was set up, pulled up on the fan, and snapped it.
For years I just glued it back. LOL.
But when I did the water pump a couple years back decided to replace it.
Here are some shots for comparison.
Original is shot one and three.

I went into my purchase history and this is what came up.

Remember how I said it looks like the original in the picture?
And what yours is going to look like is anybody's guess.
Oh and the connector was correct for my '00.

I refuse to spend Mopar parts money on a vehicle this old. The only item I have gone back to the dealership for is the hard brake line that runs from the Master Cylinder to the rear differential.

I have not had one of the supposed "crap after market" parts fail on me over the years.
