Default Replaced CPS Still doesn't start right

So I've been having problems for awhile (Since April '10) getting my XJ to start about every 10th start. Many told me it was the CPS that was going bad and it just wasn't catching cylinder one fire. Logical enough. I changed it out today and guess what happened. Started right up. Now this was around 3:00pm today and now it won't start up with out giving a touch of fuel, then it sputters to life. I'm not sure why that helped because fuel pressure is excellent (Shot to the fender almost). My question is there any other part anyone knows of that would be faulty in this situation. If anyone knows what parts I should start with/check first I highly appreciate it.

That was one of my thoughts too. I know they are prone to just dying, but I wanted to see if anybody thought the same. Thanks!

I'm more set on saying it's the tps. Battery is relatively new and all new wires connections etc. so I'm pretty sure tps.

Having to tip in the throttle to start can indicate a bad throttle position sensor. Located on the throttle body. Not too expensive.

They don't always set a code.
