Need to replace extension housing bushing on 30-43LE trans on 2wd 2001 Cherokee. I found a tool to pull it out in place, but it costs $170.00. Or I could pull the extension housing and know out with hammer, but I can not find replacement gasket to reinstall housing. What should I do? Jason

 

If Novak or any of the four wheel drive supply houses are inconvenient,do to time constraints you could make one from gasket paper. It comes in sheets and rolls and you may have to ask for it at the parts counter. If your nearest parts store doesn't have any on hand you could take a box of donuts to your nearest independent auto shop.
