Renix wire identification
There is a group of wires that come from the wiring harness that runs along the cylinder head, and then cross over and down in front of cylinder number 1 and come very close to the number 1 cylinder header pipe.
There is a solid orange wire in this group . Anyone know what this wire is for? Mine has the insulation burned off and there is corrosion on the exposed strands.
Just curious what "problems" this was about to cause.

I'll take 02 sensor heater wire for $1000 Alex.
In here you can find how to test for power at your 02 sensor > https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/ren...ce-rms-133153/

You guys are good! DFlinstone wins. I found a post by cruiset54 where he said it was the power wire for the 02 heater. I'll get it spliced and soldered tomorrow. Thanks

Darn, he got my thunder again. Cruser does cast a big shadow! In my sig it shows where the relay for that is. It's the top 87 socket, that powers that. Well done!

Thanks cruiser. Mine is NOT routed that way and I will correct it.
I had a couple of stalls under deceleration, and hard restarts. I think it is the 3 year old TPS, but I am running through all of your steps again. I think I'll do the C101 bypass this time

Do the c101 delete for sure. You can fix the ground connections outlined in Tip 6 while you're at it.
