decided i would do my 'CAD delete mod' today. went to start it to back up from the garage to give me room, no fire. it stuttered some, but thats it. decided to just push it back and do the job first, then figure it out. got it all done, and can't get a bit of fire. i cranked and cranked and cranked. no fire at all. sprayed with carb cleaner, not a hint of fire going on. what the hell. figured the fuel pump might have decided to take a dump on me, but can't even get a cheater fire from carb cleaner. i drove it a week ago to get new tires, but had no problem. any ideas?

Pull a plug and check for spark. If you have spark then check fuel pressure at the rail.

Well, definitely got spark. But no fuel. Guess I will be changing a fuel pump.

And as I'm looking into it, I see the pump is side mounted on the tank. How hard is it to actually replace the pump without dropping the tank? Fuel gauge shows just a little over half full. Also seeing that some are hooking a siphon tube to the return line to suck out most of the remaining fuel.

I'm looking for Bosch pumps as well, but no luck on finding the complete set up. I haven't changed a pump this old so not sure how it is set up. Is it the complete set up or do I just change out the pump module?
