If you think about it, I bet a guy could use a new in the box set of plug wires made in the USA in the sixties and they would still have a service life.

NO DOUBT!! China, the gift that keeps on giving, headache and cheap sh*t.

I have no idea who makes these wires. That are nice and thick, know they were new. All they say is “MPG+plus gas saving performance wire”. Sounds pretty generic.
All said I put in the basic $25 dollar duralast wires, (may have been made in China to) and she’s happy to be moving again

Another one for the records boys! Probably spent $1,000 on BS and it was a $20 issue

No way so the wires fixed it?. This thread was a trip man. Why are we always only blaming China when things break on this forum? My vintage "German" wind up clock was made in China and has been working for 50 years. There are a million different manufacturers in China and they will build anything to the purchasers' quality standards. If Duralast wanted high quality, then the Chinese would have done it. Blame the "USA" company that said "make it cheap". Blame whoever thought it was a good idea to send 90% of the manufacturing overseas. At least the Chinese workers have healthcare.

sorry to jump into the thread but the IAT is the one with 2 wires coming out of the TB, correct? If so, is it just a matter of force to get it out?

No. It's on the intake manifold behind the throttle body.

Throttle body only has Idle Air Control and Throttle Position Sensor. Both bolted on.

Yes, sorry, I am still learning terms. That is what I meant. Behind (front? Towards the cab) of the TB with the 2 wires. One of the wires is showing. I have been trying to get it off but I afraid to break it.

Again, sorry to jump into the thread.

I'm not mechanic. I wish it was as simple as you make it sound.

Thanks for all the tips but if I am going to ridiculed every time I ask something I am done with this forum.

Who is ridiculing you? Certainly not me. I need to be confident we're talking about the same thing and I need to know what concerns you're having so we can give good advice. .

Sounded to me like not a native English speaker. Perhaps something was gained in the translation?
