Default Renix headlight adjusting screw part number

I had to replace a couple . They are Dorman # 42185. None of the local stores even listed them, and the local Jeep dealer said they were a "discontinued item". Rockauto had the best price, about $6.50 for 4 shipped. Quadratech had them listed, and they show them fitting 84-2001. Ya never now what you get into with a simple bulb change

When I replaced mine on one of my older XJ's I just took one of the old ones to my locale parts store and got one off the shelf.

These are the ones I used for my '88, bought them from O'Reilly's for $4.59(card of 2).

Reeeeaaly... I cleaned up the front end/headlights on my 75 Travco last summer and all of the nylon inserts were stripped out. I ended up using a small ziptie through the hole in the nylon so the adjusting screw could get a bite. Worked well. May replace them with the Dorman part this summer.

Thanks for the heads up!
