Slipping like the torque converter isn't locking at speed, or more like it's not in the right gear and trying to start off in 4th?

I apologize, I am familiar with the torque converter just not it’s purpose or function. It is usually shifting out of third to nothing. Just rev’s until i coast to a slower speed and put it on third. Then I will pull over, shut it off for a moment then start it back up and it usually goes away. And it is typically going down hill. My fluid is level with the line on the side the line is on, but a little higher on the opposite side.

I left the house in the Jeep today and it drove nice. On the way home it was slipping like crazy. I had to drive slow with the hazards on for about 30 minutes.

Push the brake pedal down. Push the switch toward the pedal. Let the pedal back up.

Should the switch be fully compressed while the brakes are not applied? Or should you be able to see some of the switch?

Should the part the blue arrow is pointing at be visible like in the photo while the brake is not applied? Or should it be completely compressed? ( not visible)

Thank you cruiser. I think my tv cable’s self adjusting mechanism might be old and worn out as well. When I do the adjustment the conduit barely moves. I read someone suggests to hold the release button and got to wot when it is having trouble adjusting. Any input on that cruiser?

I've not had that issue. Wanna find out if the TV cable is the issue?
Disconnect it at the throttle body. Pull the cable out as far as you can and clamp the cable with some small visegrips. Go drive it.

The plunger should be pressed in some, preferably all the way. The switch makes the connection once the plunger is fully extended, so it's not super critical to be fully depressed with the brake off..

Default Still having transmission problems

So I did the sensor ground, step 6. When I back prove into my tps at a & b the voltage just gradually grows. It started off at 5.31 and I turned the ignition off at 7.25. Any ideas of what is going on ?
