I would leave it as it is. Mine works fine.

 

I'm tired of fooling with it

 

Tons of information on converting to an open cooling system on this forum as well as the web. Search around.

 

There's a few ways of doing it.

1. Buy a Durango radiator cap and cut it into your upper read hose and add a overflow bottle from there.

2. Buy a newer style radiator with a filler neck, add an overflow bottle and wala done.
