renix coolin conversion
Did what? The swap?
I got a CSF radiator for $160 shipped. I needes it either way.
Add $130 to that cost and its way more than it cost me in total, and I bought a new water pump and tstat as well!
I just bought the radiator with a filler neck simce I needed a new rad anyway.

Honestly if you have are having issues with the car overheating with the closed system, you will have the same problems with the open system. The closed system works fine if all of the engine cooling components are properly working, i.e water pump, thermostat, radiator, fan clutch... The closed system is fine when everything is working... I have an "88 cherokee pioneer, I tore the cooling system apart having an overheating issue, replacing almost every component and was also going to switch to the open system. My whole issue was the friggin fan clutch the whole time. The system works great now, functions just like it is supposed too... I really don't think there are any benefits to switching to open, many car manufacturers make this system on many cars and it works fine, I have the same system on my '92 mercury and it works flawlessly, never has overheated...knock on wood!
