I have a 1988 Cherokee XJ with 45K miles (Remanufactured engine) and lately I have been noticing that my motor is misfiring. In the morning, it would crank and start without issues, but it will miss on 1-2 cylinders for about 2 minutes, and then it will clear up and idle mostly ok, only missing every here and there.

Also, if I were to drive down the road to the gas station and kill the engine, ive learned that the motor wont start again until you unplug the crank sensor and the main wire for the distributor and plug them back in. However, if I were to drive to work (About 30 miles from home), I can stop the engine and it will restart just fine.

About 3 months ago I went through and refreshed all grounding points, added 2 ground straps, cleaned the C101 connector, and did a tune up to fix the same issue. I replaced the distributor cap and rotor, changed the spark plugs, replaced the plug wires, and replaced the coil itself. At this point, im not sure what else to check or test, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
