Renix A/C removal questions.
Id like to do an A/C delete, got everything off except the compressor, cant find a bypass pulley anywhere(2 bolt not 4). My question is if I remove the fan, idler and compressor, can I use an idler and blet from a YJ that didnt have A/C from the factory?

Ya I think so. I have a 90, my buddy has a 96 tj with no ac, and it looks like his idler will fit...find one and just try it out. I would like to do this as well...lemme know how it turns out!

Success!
Its hacked a little bit but it works and boy it sure does free up some space.. I re-used the stock idler pulley in another factory bolts location, needed a longer bolt by about 1/2-3/4in and a couple washers, had to cut a little chunk out of the alternator mounting bracket, get a new belt and route it. The idler is VERY close to the waterpump pulley but the belt fits with about 1/32in clearance lol. Part # for the belt I used is Napa # 6K710 and its 71 inches long. I placed the idler on what I think is perhaps the timing cover, not sure, the bolt had a fat head on it and was relatively short and small in diameter. Excuse the crappy cell phone pictures. Any questions shoot me a PM or something.

I have a 90 xj myself, a/c quit working and dont need it, so you removed the fan, idler and compressor. When done so, you added a electric fan set up? or are you using the AUX fan?
