Default Removing the water pump and I dont have the right tools!!!

Trying to replace waterpump because it is shot. I don't have the two teethed tool that fits onto the water pump pulley to keep it from spinning while you loosen your bolts. Managed to get three loose by using another wrench to keep it from turning but it wont work with the last bolt. Is there any way to keep it from spinning without that tool??? Help!!!

Start 2 of the bolts half way, and wedge a screwdriver between them. And hold that still while you break loose the last one

IIRC I left the belt on till I broke em loose. Could be wrong though. Makes sense.

or you can put the pump in a clam and put a thin screwdriver in the hole.

I wouldn't use a c clamp. To much chance of bending something . Leave the belt on, use a screwdriver or a strap wrench

Have someone put the belt around the water pump pulley and pull up. I did it last night and it worked for me.
