Rebuilding stock leaf springs
Im on a tight budget right now and want to add a 2" budget boost to my 2000 XJ but my leaf springs are pretty flat. I know adding an extended shackle to flat leaf springs really wont do much. Can I use a decent set of stock leaf springs from my buddies XJ, cut off the ends and stack them on my main spring to get a little more life? I use my truck as a daily commuter and hit the beach and some light trails on weekends. Want to prolong the time frame before I drop money on new shocks, coils, and leafs. Appreciate the help.

Sure you can, just know it will make your springs pretty stiff. Cut the eyes off so that it goes the full length of your main leaf so you're not creating a stress point.
