4 Part Time for NP242 with no rear DS. Otherwise it'll just dump all the power out the back, or at the very least you're going to put a lot of wear on it.

4 part time you will be fine. If you use 4 full time you may mess up the "differential" inside the tcase.

Cool. Yeah it would be minimal driving on city streets no more then 80 km/h.
.. So part time it is. I still feel sketchy about doing that, but it wouldn't be farther then say 40 km.

Well all the local parts/dealers/4x4 shops want like $130 for the yoke. I'll let you guys know how it goes with checking it out online.

I knew I could count on cherokee forum. Thanks guys!

Try some local Jeep groups. You can use the original slip yoke off of any TJ that's gone to an SYE (which is most lifted TJs). Some guys might just have them lying around for cheap/free.

Iron rock offroad has a yoke that converts to ubolts instead of straps just be careful not to over tighten it and mess up the crush washer thats in their. Your supposed to re shim everything in the diff but i had a similar problem where i had to replace the yoke and we just took it off and put it back on not going insane with the impact and i havent had any problems

Haha Christ.. I dropped the jeep off at Chrysler today to have them do the yoke install. I probably could have done it myself, but I didn't want to make anything worse. And knowing my luck lately, I would have messed something up.

They just called me saying "uh is there any special way to start it? It's not starting".

Sometimes you just have to laugh. God. .. The ol' girl actually for some reason only likes me driving it. A lot of times even my gf will try to start it and it just doesn't, I go in and it starts every time. Haha. Ugh.

Haha mine had it's 15th birthday last week... The day I snapped the u strap screw.
They "said" the starter is going on it. I don't really buy that as I know the terminal clamps are junk (doing battery cable upgrades and probably marine or military clamps very soon) because when that happens, well more then I'd like to admit, I take the clamps off clean them up really well and she starts no problem.

.. Uh jeeps.. A labour of love.
