Rear Swaybar
I have read many threads on this and I think we need to clear the air for guys new to jeeps. I drive a 1999 jeep Cherokee classic and it came with a rear sway bar. i lifted it with a 3in lift and threw 31s under it. Sometimes when I flexed I would hear a squeaking noise, eventually I realized that the rear sway bar was digging into my tires. so I pitched it.
So if you are new to jeeps I want to point out that the rear sway bar is practically useless. It has a purpose, but it's not necessary. The only difference I noticed was when I was on trails my jeep flexed a lot better. I take sharp turns and do donuts, and screw around. (Legally of course) And I have never noticed a difference.
Jeep eventually even realized it was useless and deleted it in some of their models. My dads jeep Cherokee even came from the factory without one. So I just wanted to clear up that they are not necessary, so you don't have to worry about being in danger, or spending time or money trying to do disconnects, or buying a new one.
