rear sway bar
Pull off your rear wheels..on the top side of your leaf springs you will see a D shaped bushing with a bar sticking through the middle of it, that is the rear sway bar. It runs over to the other side, mounts in the same spot...I am crawling under my jeep here soon, I will post a pic so you can see what it looks like

If I am guessing correctly on how these pics will show up, the first pic is where the sway bar bolts to the frame..the second pic is where it bolts up above the leaf springs...don't pay attention to all the rust..apparently the bump stops on my jeep rusted off long ago...just adds character

Rear Sway Bar Disconnects
Any body running or have slick ideas for a rear sway bar disconnect. I want to be able to keep up with the sports cars (or at least the family sedans) on the mountain roads.

I took my sb off and it rides a lot smother, thing is, my rearend went bad, is there a connection or is it a coincidence? I use the power my XJ delivers, is that a bad thing when the sway bar is out?

Mines out and it rides smoother and handles just fine never feel like I'm gonna lose control I think it's just like having independent suspension

No specially on the rear of an xj. You have leafs the sway bar does virtually nothing. I have coils and 7" of lift on my zj and I don't have swaybars front or rear and its a daily driver.
