Had the same problem.I actually loosened the main caps to relieve some pressure,(remember to torque them down when done), then used a chisel with a flat round end about the same size as the seals edge and tapped away.Be careful not to damage the journal.It will break away just be patient.

All 6 remaining caps? Did you support the shaft with any thing. I just noticed a very very small scratch in the shaft/journal. Did I just totaly f**k myself.
