Default Rear end noise

So i have a 95 xj and i was driving today and all of a sudden heard a scraping type of noise from the rear end, more specifically sounded like the driver side. The sound is there as soon as i start moving and gets faster and louder the faster i go. Also when i turn the wheel to the right it goes away, when i turn it to the left it gets very loud. Thanks for any info. Sorry if this has already been covered.

Check your wheel bearing. That could be very we'll what it is.

The noise goes away sometimes, i havent driven it very far since it started happening, the thing thats wierd to me is what i said about turning the wheel left it gets very loud but turning it right quiets it. I will check the wheel bearing tho. Thanks

Ok that's what I thought it would be. Glad you found it. When you turn it shifts the pressure on your wheel bearings and when they are bad they separate a little but....just enough to let you know it's bad.
