I used a pick finally get mine out. Its a PITA no matter how you go about it. rub some bar soap on the new one to slide it in

I unbolted 3 bearing caps and was about to do a 4th, but i just kept hittin it with a punch took over an hour. It was actualy once i turned my music on it busted through first song.. getting the pan on by myself was fun. i finally got smart and used a jack to jack the back end up and bolt it on. It actualy worked really well the jack pushed the whole pan flush to the block.. i would have taken pictures but it was 330 am and my hands were total gunked
