Default Re-wiring TPS ?

Ive been having bucking and surging issues and chased grounds and finally found a mouse had chewed threw the wiring about 1" behind the plug for the TPS. how should I go about repairing this? do I cut the plug off, solder on new wiring, and replace it or is there an easier way? does anyone sell a whole new pigtail?

Freakin' mice!!

I'm redoing the insulation in my basement, it's going super slow and in the new insulation those little a-holes have already chewed a hole. It almost makes me want to get a cat.
