I've bounced the idea back and fowarth between budget lift, or real lift... for about a month. Decided tonight that I didn't want the headaches with the budget so I am ordering the RE 3.5" Super Ride! I'm already stretching my budget a bit buying the lift and new tires+wheels at once, but I have the mentality that I don't want to buy anything twice. So, I've decided if I'm spending all this money, I want a nice ride! From anyone's personal experience, are the OME's worth another $120? I'm already spending close to 2k, so what's another $120 right? Or, are the RE MonoTubes good enough? I could use that $120 for a hi-lift and some other things?

RE Mono's are good shocks, OME are good shocks, Bilstein are good shocks. Can't go wrong IMHO with any of those 3. It's mainly a matter of how much you want to spend. RE will run about $300 for a set, Bilteins probably around $450, OME cost somewhere closer to the BIlsteins. I wouldn't hesitate one bit to get the RE Monotubes, they are good shocks and I wished I had gone with those over the RE Twin Tubes when I bought my RE kit. If you go with RE contact Jason at jeepinoutfitters.com for a price.

Thanks for the input! And putting up with my solid months worth of questions
. Everything is ordered, I will be putting up pics of the install as soon as everything arrives, and probably asking more questions!

Funny thing is every time some one Brings up OME shocks someone else always has to call them over rated mean while that same person has never owned them. And everyone with OME shocks loves them. So you do the math.
People hate what they can't afford...

That's why it's best to go for a ride on the trail and on the street with some friends who might have similar setups and then do the comparision yourself.

sorry, not that i can't afford OME. i can, no problem there.
i just don't think they're worth it. and not to mention, they don't make them for an 8 inch lift.
do they even make them for a 4 inch lift?
